Before you begin your research on a career, take this quiz (Career Quiz) for some suggestions based on your strengths and preferences.
part two: career 101
- Check your email/google drive for the document called, "Career 101."
- Add your last name in the bottom corner of the footer. (How to add footer)
- Conduct your research on your chosen career. Use the following websites to conduct your research on your career:
- What Career Is Right For Me? Info on average salary, education requirements, general descriptions, job titles
- Occupation Profile Overview of salary, equipment used, skills needed, etc.
- If you can't find what you need on these websites, try doing a google search. Make sure you are using reputable websites, and not forums for your information.
part three: seeking employment
Choosing a career and finding a job are very different endeavors. Jobs are everywhere, and often easy to obtain. However, discovering a career that fulfills all your needs can be a difficult undertaking. For part three, you will need to find 3 job listings for which you would be interested in applying.
- Check your email/google drive for the document called, "Seeking Employment."
- Add your last name in the bottom-right corner of the footer.
- Vocabulary: Use a google search to define the job search related words.
- Job Search: Use the following websites to find 3 jobs you would like to apply to. Use information on the job listing to complete the "Seeking Employment" document. Note: Certain websites are better for certain fields.

- USA.gov (Goverment jobs)
- EdJoin (Education careers)
- Dice.com (Tech careers)
- Culintro (Culinary careers)
- eFinancial Careers (Financial careers)
